One year of perfect happiness

I heard this question once (I don't know where), and for some reason it popped into my head today:

If you could have one year of perfect happiness, but afterward you would remember nothing of the experience, would you take the year of happiness? Why or why not?

I would definately take the year of happiness becuase I would have enjoyed it while I experienced it. There are tons of fun things I have no recollection of doing, but no doubt I had a blast while doing them. I certaintly don't have any desire to take those experiences back.

We should all be so lucky as to have one year of pure bliss.

I would not take it. Life is nothing but memories. Even what we consider the present is just very recent memory. I would rather spend the year making memories that would last.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't take it. If you don't remember it you can't miss it. What's the disadvantage exactly?

I'd also think that a year of happiness would leave your biology predisposed to more happiness, which would tend to make you happier in the non-perfect proceeding years.
